 Hey Art!

Art thanks for visiting my site, youve got great photos here, I particular like the holy cow and the solar disc photo, just a question, how do you do those astrophotography shots?

The sky seems so clear and those stars seems so close!

 Julian, the technique of astrophotography
involves 200 pounds of gear and fifteen
years worth of experience and training.
The gear is a motorized mount that
follows the earth's rotation and must
be calibrated precisely. So it's a brute,
and takes a huge amount of hit and miss
work before it turns out okay. Exposures
of ten plus minutes are no picnic.
Again, I love your work!
Circular star trails are easier. Point
your camera at the North Star and expose
for one to three hours at about f/8.

Oh my...Id love to see you in work!

Btw, Ive just noticed on my office computer and earlier on my home PC that your website is too wide (ie its more that 1024 pixels wide), thus I have to keep scrolling from left to right, as well as up and down.

Although it didnt put me off it might put off future browers from your site.

I believe most monitor are optimised for 1024 pixels across. I think you must have a 1200 rez screen.

Julian, all the photos are loaded at
about 700X460 pixels by the host.
They will look different on different
screens; works fine on my 17, 19 and 21
monitors. But I'll look into it. I
hate small pics that you can't see.
A little scrolling may be the price
I pay to be able to load large images.
I'm really not sure how it's handled
by Betterphoto.com, who runs this
domain.

My monitor is at 1024x768, which is standard.

The problem isn't the images, it's that your pages are for a higher resolution so I have to scroll left and right (annoying). Instead of setting the page width or table width to 100%, try specifying a number of pixels (like 1000).
